"Music from my soul to yours"

Well…I jumped in with both feet in creating this CD… just one more step in the process of living my dream. Dance With Me seemed an appropriate title for this CD because I want everyone that hears it to realize that they are “dancing with me” through this wonderful dream I am living. I have had two true passions in my lifetime and I have put every bit of energy that I have into both of those passions. For many years, that passion was basketball and I did fulfill a dream of playing at Berry College. Now that passion has turned to music… writing and performing whenever I get the opportunity… still working toward the dream and enjoying each moment that I encounter in this process. I chose to have my photo shoot at Ford Gym at Berry College because I did realize a dream there and now have moved on to the next phase of my life… working through the trials and obstacles of being a musician just as I did as a basketball player. I wanted to be back in that gym to give myself some momentum, remind myself that it is not easy, but it can be done, it’s worth it, and to keep “dancing”. So please come Dance With Me. I hope you connect with my music and enjoy what you hear!

This is Renee's second project. "Just So You Know", the newest release by singer/songwriter Renee Mixon, is a compilation of twelve of her original songs. Renee's truly unique music style is evident throughout the CD. Most of the songs heard, such as "Back to Me" and "Too Good to be True" deal with relationships to which the listener can easily relate. The lyrics of "Valentine", "Dance With Me", "In Another Life" and the title track are more wonderful examples of her writing talent. This CD is a winner for those who enjoy easy-listening music and is a "must have" for any collection.
